Developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), UTS is an application for Android devices that allows you to buy tickets for train travel in India. Its use is convenient and practical since you will have access to the ticket in digital format, although you can also print it and use it.
To use UTS, the user must first register with their data: name, cell phone number, gender, date of birth, and a password. Once this is done, your own wallet, Railway Wallet, will be created automatically and free of charge, with no money inside.
To recharge it, you will only have to go to any UTS office or its official website, and you will be able to buy the ticket you need. If you choose the paperless ticket option, UTS allows you to purchase Journey Ticket, Season Ticket, and Platform Ticket, although the latter is only available at select stations.
With UTS, you can't buy a ticket in advance. That is, you will only be able to choose the current date. Of course, if you do not have internet access, you will not be able to purchase tickets through the application.
UTS currently allows you to purchase the ticket digitally, but you can also request a paper one. In this case, you will obtain an ID to print it from any ATVM/Co-TVM in the station.
Traveling across India by train is easier than ever with UTS. Download the APK here.
